Jesus Molina
Coach
GOALKEEPING COACH WITH 30 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE PLAYING AND COACHING SOCCER IN MEXICO AND THE UNITED STATES. Throughout his extensive career, he has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and skills that have made him a respected figure in the world of soccer. His expertise extends beyond goalkeeping training; he has also influenced the development of defensive strategies and the physical and mental preparation of players at various stages of their careers. His focus is on technique, agility, and quick decision-making, crucial elements for a goalkeeper in the competitive world of soccer.
He was part of Mexico's U-17 national team, coached by Gustavo Vargas and Cristobal Ortega. During his time with the national team, he had the opportunity to compete internationally, facing renowned teams that allowed him to hone his skills and gain experience in high-pressure situations. This stage was fundamental to his development, as it not only improved his personal game but also taught him the importance of teamwork and group cohesion, elements he would later apply in his coaching career.
He played for three professional teams in Mexico (Deportivo Toluca, Atlético Celaya, and Acámbaro FC). Each of these teams provided him with unique experiences and challenges that contributed to his growth as a player. At Deportivo Toluca, for example, he had the opportunity to play in major leagues, which allowed him to stand out among his peers and earn a spot in the starting lineup. His time at Atlético Celaya and Acámbaro FC allowed him to face different styles of play and adapt to multiple tactics, which enriched his understanding of the sport. He was also part of two national indoor soccer teams, one from Mexico and one from the United States, due to his dual nationalities. This duality allowed him to explore his versatility as a player, participating in indoor soccer competitions that require a different skill set than traditional soccer. He played for nine professional indoor soccer teams in the United States (California Cougars, Anaheim Bolts, Las Vegas Legends, San Diego Sockers, Syracuse Knights, El Paso Coyotes, Harrisburg Heat, Ontario Fury, Empire Strykers). Each of these teams offered him the opportunity to hone his technique, develop a dynamic playing style, and network with other top-level athletes. The experience gained on these teams not only shaped him into a skilled player but also inspired him to share his knowledge and passion for the game with the next generation of goalkeepers, leading him to his current role as a coach. His commitment to developing young talent is a testament to his dedication to the sport and his desire to see the game grow in both nations.
