Lauren Sesselmann

A former Canadian national soccer player and Olympic bronze medalist, she played for Canada from 2011 to 2015 as a defender and forward. Throughout her career, she was noted not only for her versatility on the field, playing multiple positions, but also for her tireless work ethic and dedication to the sport. Career highlights include winning a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympic Games, where she started six matches, demonstrating her skill and resilience while competing against some of the best players in the world. Her performance at the tournament was instrumental in the Canadian team's success, and her contributions on both defense and offense were key to securing an Olympic podium finish.

She was named to the NWSL Dream Team in 2013 after playing for the Houston Dash, where she stood out not only for her defensive prowess but also for her ability to connect with the offense and create scoring opportunities. During her time in the NWSL, she earned the respect and admiration of her teammates and opponents for her fair play and professionalism on the field. Furthermore, her presence on the team helped elevate the level of women's soccer in Canada, inspiring a new generation of players. She graduated from Purdue University in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in advertising and marketing, reflecting her commitment not only to the sport but also to her personal and professional development off the field. Her education has allowed her to combine her passion for soccer with skills in communication and strategy, opening doors for her in various fields, both inside and outside of the world of sports.
